Organic Natural Body Butter Benefits

In the midst of a pandemic, it feels impossible to maintain the same level of physical and outdoor activity that we are accustomed to in our daily lives. However, it is in fact very feasible to stay in tune with that aspect of our lives while staying safe at home! Long nature walks with masks, at home workouts, and sunbathing in our backyards are just a few of many viable ways to feel a sense of normalcy in these uncertain times. Since these activities can be taxing on your skin, we are here to support you with our massage cubes! A crucial part of our product that keeps your skin healthy and flourishing is our butters: Illipe Butter, Cocoa Butter, and Mango Butter.

Illipe Butter

Deep in Indonesia and Malaysia’s forests of Borneo, you can find the beautiful Shorea stenoptera tree. Illipe butter hails from this tree, hence its other name: Shorea Stenoptera Butter. It is found in the form of vegetable oil from the tree’s nut. Packed with fatty acids, this Southeast Asian butter has numerous potential benefits for your skin:

  1. Acts as a Protective Barrier

Since the beginning of the age of industrialization, there have been more pollutants in the air than ever seen before. Intense UV rays and the presence of smoke are detrimental to the appearance of our skin, as it stimulates free radicals, and in turn results in wrinkles. Linoleic Acid, also known as Vitamin F, is present in our massage cubes through Illipe Butter; it restores the skin’s natural barrier function in order to protect the skin from those factors. Palmitic Acid, alongside Stearic Acid, also work together to help contribute to building this protective barrier that blocks the appearance of aging and supports the skin.

  1. Holds in Moisture

When the skin forms a barrier, it is able to retain everything already on the skin. Therefore, water is effectively kept inside and moisture is retained. The previously mentioned Linoleic and Palmitic Acid within Illipe Butter saves your skin from unaesthetic dryness!

  1. Keeps Skin Soft

Oleic Acid holds the ability to send plant nutrients deep into our skin, allowing us to fully reap the benefits. This aids in maintaining the softness of our skin, making it satisfyingly smooth to the touch.

Cocoa Butter

The Amazon basin is home to a wide variety of diverse plant and animal life, including the Cacao tree. This tree houses cacao beans within its pods, and the natural fat within can form Organic Theobroma Cacao Butter, or what we know as Cocoa Butter. When harvested and processed, the cacao beans turn into cocoa! Cocoa Butter is a crucial ingredient within our massage cubes; enjoy how it may aid you:

  1. Rich in Antioxidants and Vitamins

Cocoa Butter is abundant in antioxidants, such as dopamine, tryptophan, zinc, and omega 6 and 9, alongside plenty of vitamins: Vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, C, E, and K. These all collectively work together to put a halt to free radical activity, keep the skin from flaking, smooth fine lines, and even out skin tone.

  1. Anti-aging

Furthermore, the phytochemicals that Cocoa Butter is rich in also work with the aforementioned antioxidants to prevent the appearance of aging. These phytochemicals improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging by protecting against damage from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

  1. Moisturizing
Similar to Illipe Butter, Cocoa Butter also consists of Oleic, Palmitic, and Stearic Acid. As previously mentioned, these fatty acids form a protective barrier over the skin that holds in moisture and keeps the skin hydrated. This helps heal chapped skin!

Mango Butter

Alternative medicine is not a new practice, although it has only recently been gaining traction in Western medicine. For thousands of years, the Indian Ayurveda system has been using the Mangifera indica herb; they believe that it has the ability to improve the heart, brain activity, and the immune system. Mango trees themselves also originated in India, eventually spreading throughout Southeast Asia. Within the mangoes grown on these trees are pits bountiful with natural fat that is used to curate Organic Mangifera Indica Butter, or Mango Butter. This is a key ingredient in our massage cube for multiple purposes:

  1. Anti-inflammatory

With strenuous exercise comes swollen joints and sore muscles. Mangiferin is a polyphenol within Mango Butter that prevents that inflammation of the joints! Using our massage cube after a workout allows this ingredient to work its magic.

  1. Reduces the Appearance of Aging

Mango Butter is packed with vitamins: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. Respectively, each is responsible for fading dark spots, producing collagen to prevent aging, and blocking free radicals. Through our massage cube, this butter will keep your skin looking youthful and fresh!

  1. Moisture and Smooth Skin

Just like Illipe Butter, Mango Butter also has Oleic Acid in it! This fatty acid travels deep into the skin’s surface with ease, adding back moisture and making the skin smooth instead of dry. Mango butter also has Palmitic Acid and Stearic Acid, which constructs the moisture-retaining barrier that was spoken upon previously. Your skin will be full of vitality and will glow after Mango Butter graces it!
