KOA+ROY: Plant-based Brands
At one time or another, we have all been guilty of snatching the cheapest product when in a rush, not even giving it a second thought or glance. It’s extremely easy to overlook the list of ingredients on the bottles of every single product we use, but being aware of what is being applied to your body and its effects are crucial. Each ingredient we use is plant-based, locally sourced, and all-natural. We prioritize being 100% transparent with our ingredients and how they impact our bodies. Each and every ingredient in our massage cubes are deliberately picked to serve every customer in beneficial ways. An essential part of our massage cube are organic Aloe vera and organic Arnica montana.
Organic Aloe Vera
For centuries, a multitude of cultures worldwide have been looking to the plant life surrounding us for healing and enhancing purposes. Aloe vera is native to North Africa, Southern Europe, and the Canary Islands; it was used all throughout the ancient cultures of Greece, India, Egypt, and China. Queen Cleopatra even used this as a daily part of her beauty routine! This succulent is packed with beneficial components; enjoy how they help you when applied topically:
- Antioxidants
Aloe vera is heavy in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, which can both act as antioxidants. Vitamin C is ideal for anti-aging purposes! It is moisturizing and non-greasy, which makes it especially ideal for oily skin. Vitamin A fades wrinkles, fine lines, and aging spots by evening your skin tone. The other numerous antioxidants in Aloe vera belong to a larger family of polyphenols. These prevent the growth of infectious bacteria and protect our body’s tissues from oxidative stress (when there is an imbalance between our body’s production of free radicals and our body’s ability to neutralize or detoxify their negative effects).
- Minerals
There are numerous minerals present in Aloe vera: calcium, chromium, copper, selenium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, and zinc. These are all essential for your body so it can properly upkeep the enzyme systems that are within different metabolic pathways.
- Enzymes
Aloe vera is packed with enzymes: aliiase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, bradykinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, lipase, and peroxidase. When applied topically, as it is when our massage cube is used, bradykinase is anti-inflammatory for the skin. The other enzymes provided can help break down sugars and fats.
- Moisturizing
Aloe vera softens dead skin cells, which leaves your skin smooth to the touch! Vitamin C, as previously mentioned, especially contributes to adding moisture to your skin. After using our massage cube, your skin will be as soft as possible.
Organic Arnica Montana
- Anti-inflammation
Arnica is packed with helenanin: a chemical compound that belongs to sesquiterpene lactones. When applied topically, it controls and reduces the processes within our bodies that can cause inflammation. Arnica also consists of thymol, which promotes blood flow by opening capillaries to counter the body’s natural response to swelling. Say goodbye to sore muscles, swollen joints, and red patches once this ingredient works its magic!
- Bacteria Taming
Helenanin also can help kill bacteria if Arnica is applied to the skin through our massage cube! This controls any potential infections on your skin.
- Dulls Bruising
Your body forms a bruise when blood vessels are broken underneath the skin on impact. Thymol, as previously mentioned, gets your blood flowing again! Arnica aids in speeding up the healing process so bruises that are less than appealing to the eye can disappear quicker.
